The publisher seldom (in my experience with three large publishers, though a bit dated) asks the author to produce final page proofs. WebMostly because like I mentioned, it was written in mostly simple English as it is a textbook for international students. Our school actually gives them for a whole academic year for free to all the students, all they have to do is just return them by the end of the year so thankfully I didn't spend any money on them.
