The low density foam has shown similar biomechanical performance compared to cadaveric osteoporotic femoral heads with BMD of 0.784 ± 0.18 g/cm 2 as determined by DEXA (35). WebHowever, there is no comprehensive evidence of literature assessing the role of alcohol consumption in bone mineral density (BMD) and the risk of osteoporotic fractures. Thus, the aim of this study was to quantitatively assess the dose–response relationship between alcohol intake and BMD and risk of osteoporotic fractures.
